On 14th November 2001 Hambles first ever veterinary surgery opened its doors for the first time. Richard Hatton set up Harrier Vets, whilst raising his family in the area and fast became an essential member of the local community.
Richard qualified as a vet from Cambridge university in 1980 and worked at several other vets before settling in Hamble. Richards passion for animals has always been apparent and in his time he has helped all creatures great and small, from snakes and tortoises to cats and dogs. Along with his faithful team, Richard has saved the life of many a pet, not to mention treating many of the local wildlife and strays when required.
Richard is still working at Harrier Vets today, and was welcomed to work today with a celebratory lunch from his team.
